DescriptionThese stunning Foxglove Wild Flower Plants will brighten any bed or border in your garden. Foxglove Digitalis purpurea prefer a sunny sight but will tolerate light shade as well complimenting other perennials in the border or along a hedge. Can also be grown in large pots. foxglove grow to over 1 metre in height.These plants are in their first year of growth and as biennials will flower in their second year.Will seed readily and abundantly so we advise removing the flower stems once the flowers fade and before the seed pods ripen and burst open.Add to a mix of other wild flowers to create a Native Meadow of Bee & Insect Friendly Garden Perennials.See the Wilderness Tamed store for other Wild Flower Seeds.Foxglove are a good source of nectar to many pollinating insects and bees and will attract lots of wild life to your garden.You can grow these foxglove Wild Flower Plants as soon as you get them directly into the ground where you want them to grow.Do not add compost or fertiliser to the ground as, like most native meadow plants, they do not require a nutrient rich soil.Firm in lightly, with your fingers, around each plant and water regularly during dry weather to help establish the young plants.Please be aware all parts of these plants including the seeds are toxic and care should be taken when handling.
