  • Description

    These stunning blue annual corn flowers will add a splash of vivid colour to your garden beds and borders. Also great in pots and tubs, mixed with other annual plants. 

    Growing between 30 cm and 80 cm depending on situation and how rich the soil is. Remember poor soils are best for native plants, to encourage more flower rather than foliage growth.

    Flowering throughout the summer up until the first frosts. Allow them to set seed before mowing / scything. Remove form the border and lightly disturb the soil to encourage the seed to germinate. They will often germinate quickly in the Autumn and sit tight through the winter. then in spring the young plants will begin to grow.

  • Sowing Instructions

    You can sow these wild flower seeds as soon as you get them directly into the ground where you want them to grow. Do not add compost or fertiliser to the ground as, like most native meadow plants, they do not require a nutrient rich soil. Rake lightly in to cover the seed and water regularly during dry weather to help establish the young plants. If sown between September and October you should expect flowering the following year.

    Keep well watered in dry periods after sowing to help establish the seedlings.
