  • Description

These stunning Corn Marigold Glebionis segetum seeds can be sown directly onto a prepared site of raked soil.

Corn Marigold prefer a sunny sight but will tolerate light shade.

Corn Marigold Glebionis segetum spread widely. Like all our native cornfield annuals the soil needs to be disturbed each year to encourage germination. After flowering allow the plants to set seed then cut and remove all vegetation. Dig or rotovate the soil lightly to no more that 10cm deep. Rake and firm the ground.

Add to a mix of other wild flower seeds to create a Native Meadow of Bee & Insect Friendly Garden Annuals.
See the Wilderness Tamed store for other Annual Wild Flower Seeds.

Corn Marigold are a good source of nectar to many pollinating insects and bees and will attract lots of wild life to your garden.

You can sow these Corn Marigold Wild Flower seeds as soon as you get them directly onto the ground where you want them to grow. Do not add compost or fertiliser to the ground as, like most native meadow plants, they do not require a nutrient rich soil. Firm in the seed and water regularly during dry weather to help establish the young plants. If sown between July and October you should expect flowering the following year.
